Olivia Lewis, who was competing for the 11th consecutive time, won the Malta Song For Europe Festival last night with her rendition of ‘Vertigo’.
Olivia will now represent Malta at the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest to be held at the Hartwall Areena in Helsinki, Finland, on the 10th of May.
She began singing as a child and has performed in numerous musicals and music festivals. She sings in several musical styles, from pop to jazz and soul.
Olivia was the first female artist to perform during the Malta Jazz Festival together with the Paul Giordimaina trio and has also performed regularly at the International Festival of Maltese Song, scoring as high as third place.
She has also won both the Lithuanian National Song Festival and the Bulgarian Song Festival.
