Perfect racing conditions for the Gozo Motocross Fun Race

The Gozo Motocross Association organised a Fun Race on Sunday and the track presented perfect racing conditions following the last few days of rain.
In Class A, the competition was won by Joseph Bigeni on his Kawasaki KX 250 followed by Samuel Spiteri who was promoted from Class B to Class A for the day. Etienne Bigeni, who participated with his Honda CR 85cc came in third.In fact all three riders put on an excellent show, challenging and overtaking each other in each of the three heats. Steve Xuereb made a comeback after being absent from racing for several months.
In Class B, Matthew Zammit held on tightly to his points, coming in first with a total of 57 points. Jorn Stellini was also promoted to Class B from Class C for the day. He ended up in second place, while Anthony Fenech, who has also been absent for quite some time, came in third.In Class C, Yosef Camilleri, Nathaniel Camilleri and Joseph Luke Gauci came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively. The newcomer, Joseph Abela, who participated in Class C did well on his first ever attempt at Motocross racing.
The Fun Race event was sponsored by Ravenol Oils. Mr Frank Jude Cutajar of Galea General services awarded vouchers to the winners who came in first, second and third place in Class A, B and C respectively.Gozo Motocross Association also announced that the 5th Round of the Motocross Championship 2015/16 will take place at Ta' Xhajma Track on the 3rd of April, closely followed by the quarter finals of the same Championship on the 17th of April.
