After the success of its first 'Better Together Seminar' LGBTI+ Gozo is organising a second seminar following the theme of `Kids and Sexuality.'
LGBTI+ Gozo said that as an organisation that aims to raise more awareness about sexuality and educate more people regarding the topic, "we thought it would be appropriate to tackle the issue of sexuality in children and teenagers."
"We have all passed through the reality of puberty, and hence are aware of the challenges faced during that time, and the difficulty in getting in touch with our sexuality and with ourselves."
The NGO said that the discussions will look at how sexuality is something innate that develops with us "and how despite this, we only seem to discuss sexuality within adults."
The seminar will kick off with the first speaker, Mr Steve Libreri, a Social Worker and Parenting Coach who will discuss sexuality in young children. Following, Mr Matthew Bartolo, who is a Sex and Relationship counsellor, will be talking about sexual development and orientations in teenagers.
The event will be hosted at the University of Malta, Gozo Campus, Xewkija, on Saturday, the 27th of February with registration at 10.45am and the seminar will follow straight after.
LGBTI+ Gozo is inviting everyone to join them to debate this topic.
