Gozo Motocross Fun Race: Challenging, exciting races riders & fansOn Sunday, Gozo Motocross Association organised a Fun Race, which was sponsored by Jonathan Attard at High Revs Motorcycles in Victoria.

The Association said that it was a pleasure to welcome back four ASMK riders who participated enthusiastically with Gozitan riders in Sunday's races.

As opposed to the bad weather experienced during the last meet, Sunday's race conditions were ideal, with cloudy skies and no winds.Gozo Motocross Fun Race: Challenging, exciting races riders & fansIn Class A the competition was excruciatingly challenging between Etienne Bigeni on his Kawasaki KXF 250cc, Mario Cauchi on a Honda CRF 250cc and Clayton Camilleri on a KTM 250cc. In fact all three riders carried twenty points after winning one round each.

Their situation shifted according to their position during the other two rounds, which in the end determined their winning positions. Joseph Bigeni was unfortunate enough to have his bike break down at the very last minutes of the third round. Gozo Motocross Fun Race: Challenging, exciting races riders & fansFollowing the perplexing circumstances, Etienne finished in 1st place, closely followed by Clayton Camilleri and Mario Cauchi thereafter.

In class B Nathaniel Camilleri, Samuel Spiteri and Peter Sammut where challenged by Jorn Stellini who decided to move up from class C to class B for the day. In fact Stellini came in second, following Spiteri who had a triumphant win with maximum points achieved from the three rounds. Camilleri came in third place.

Josef Camilleri and Joseph Luke Gauci fought it out in Class C with the latter determined to keep his good record. However the debutant Matthew Buttigieg surprised everyone by coming in second place, followed by the same Joseph luke Gauci. Josef Camilleri won this category.Gozo Motocross Fun Race: Challenging, exciting races riders & fansJonathan Attard awarded trophies and gifts to the winners who came in first, second and third place in Class A, B and C respectively.

Gozo Motocross Association also announced that the 4th Round of the Motocross championship 2015/16 will continue to take place at Ta' Xhajma Track on the 6th of March, followed soon after by the 5th Round of the same Championship on the 13th of March.
