Melita agrees sponsorship with MRFU

Melita agrees sponsorship with MRFU Melita is extending its local sports coverage through a sponsorship agreement with the Malta Rugby Football Union (MRFU).

This agreement allows Melita to broadcast all home matches of Malta’s national rugby team, live and exclusive, and will also provide Melita with the exclusive transmission rights for delayed broadcasts of the best weekly game of the Cisk Lager 1st Division League. Starting from Thursday the 13th of November, the weekly match will be broadcast exclusively on Melita Sports every Thursday at 8:30pm.

Over the last few years, Melita and MRFU have had a successful long-standing relationship to promote rugby in Malta. Through this agreement with Melita, MRFU will now continue to benefit from financial assistance over the next few years.

Malta vs. Croatia – live on Melita Sports next Saturday

Next Saturday, the Maltese Rugby National Team faces Croatia in their first encounter as part of the European National Cup and the World Cup 2011 group phase. A live broadcast of the match, including live commentary by sports journalist Sandro Micallef, technical analysis by ex-rugby national player Leo Mifsud and Nick Gatt on the touchline, goes on-air on Melita Sports next Saturday the 25th of October at 2.00pm.
