Andrew Saliba wins Gozo Tourism Worker of the Year Award

The Gozo Tourism Awards presentation ceremony, organised by the Gozo Tourism Association as been held for the eighth consecutive year the Gozo Tourism Association.
The 2015 Awards were bestowed to the Gozo Tourism Worker of the Year, the Gozo Young Tourism Worker of the Year, as well as the Gozo Tourism Entrepreneurship Award. The main objectives of these awards are to acknowledge, commend, encourage and thank all the workers and Entrepreneurs who distinguish themselves in the performance of their duties in the vital touristic industry in Gozo.
Mr. Andrew Saliba, Chef with Kozmo, Bar Restaurant and Vineria, won the Gozo Tourism Worker of the Year Award 2015, whilst the Gozo Young Tourism Worker of the Year Award 2015 was awarded to Mr Frederick Spiteri, Head Waiter Ta' Frenc Restaurant. This year's Gozo Tourism Entrepreneurship Award 2015 , was won by Mr Joseph Portelli, Managing Director/ Owner of The Quaint Hotels.
The winners were officially announced by Notary Public Dr. Enzo Dimech LL.D chairman of the adjudicating board which also included, Mr Joseph W Psaila and Mr. Manuel Tabone.
Finally the Gozo Tourism Association Council awarded the Lifetime Gozo Tourism Achievement Award to Mr. Brian Mizzi of the Gozo Farmhouses Ltd for his investment and achievements in the tourism sector during a span of 40 years, which contributed towards job creation and economic growth on Gozo.
These awards were presented to the respective winners by the Minister for Gozo Dr. Anton Refalo, and the Minister for Tourism. Dr. Edward Zammit Lewis.
