‘Tis the season to be jolly for everyone at Xewkija Primary School

This month, which closes out the first term of this scholastic year, a plethora of activities were organised for the students at Xewkija Primary school to celebrate this merry season, including a Celebration and Open Day, which was held on Thursday.
The Minister for Education and Employment Mr. Evarist Bartolo, Parliamentary Secretary for Rights of Persons with Disability and Active Ageing Dr Justyne Caruana, Director General Mr. George Borg, Director Ms. Roslynn Vella, Malta's Ambassador to UNESCO Mgr. Dr. Joe Vella Gauci, Gozo College Principal Mr. Victor Galea and other distinguished guests, parents and other community members, were welcomed to spend an eventful day at school.
A special assembly was held to recognise and celebrate the pupils' achievements and teachers' commitment and dedication. A wide variety of class activities were also organised ranging from Maths, French, Science to Rhymes, Music and Dance.
The Xewkija Band Club entertained the audience present with their musical notes, while the Xewkija Tigers Clubs carried out a training session to get the audience going on the move!
Meanwhile in the school foyer, healthy food snacks were on sale, alongside books and Poinsettias, an activity organised by the Students' Council.
Thursday's celebrations were rounded off in the afternoon with a Certificate Giving Ceremony in the school's hall.
