The Classique Foundation will be presenting Puccini 150, an anniversary concert to be held on Saturday, the 8th of November, to mark the 150th anniversary of Giacomo Puccini’s birth.
The concert will feature the 85-strong Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, together with two internationally-renowned singers, Maria Pia Ionata (soprano) and Ignacio Encinas (tenor). The orchestra will be under the direction of Joseph Debrincat.
The concert will start at 7.30pm, and the ticket price is €10.
The Leone Philharmonic Society will be holding its annual concert the week before on Sunday, the 2nd of November.
The Leone Band will perform a selection from its repertoire, of both classical and contemporary music. The band will be under the baton of Mro. Colin Attard.
The evening commences at 7.15pm, and those attending are kindly asked to be seated ten minutes before the concert starts.
