Government launches first National Film Policy: Gozo consultation meeting

The Government of Malta, through the Ministry for Tourism, has embarked on a process to develop the first National Film Policy.
The Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis, announced that following ninety years of film making in Malta, the industry is to get it’s first National Policy.
This Policy document is being put forward for consultation after a process of several important meetings with key stakeholders.
“A strong long term vision and strategy has to be put in place to ensure that Malta keeps up with its competitors. Through this process we aim to enhance the current draft, to set the appropriate vision for this fast growing industry in Malta, for the benefit to our islands,” the Ministry said.
The first consultation meeting will be held on the 25th of September 2015 at the MCC Valletta, between 9am and 12pm.
The second consultation meeting will be held on the 3rd of October 2015 at the Grand Hotel Gozo, between 9am and 12pm.
The public also has the opportunity to submit any suggestions, thoughts, or feedback regarding the Government’s vision, by sending them with file attachments to firstname.lastname@example.org,
