Better Together: Gozo seminar organised by LGBTI+ Gozo

LGBTI+ Gozo is a Non-Governmental Organisation made up of active young adults, who work on a voluntary basis. LGBTI+ Gozo said that it has been working very hard over the past few months to establish a grounded and well developed organisation for all youths in Gozo.
The NGO added that it is especially aimed at those in sexual minorities, and it strives to “create a community of teens, young adults and adults where there is sense of belonging and to provide a secure and safe place for everyone.”
It also creates events both that promote informal education, inclusion, involvement, health and which raise awareness about various issues in society.
One of the issues that is at the forefront of the organization’s agenda is the opening of a GU clinic in Gozo. The members have also met with the President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca to bring the proposal to the table.
One of the events the NGO is organising is called ‘Better Together.’ This is a seminar where various speakers such as Dr.Nicholas Briffa, as well as representatives from the Health department will give presentations on the issues of Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Sexual Health and Sexual Education.
Coffee breaks will be included, and at the end of the seminar certificates will be given out.
The event will be hosted at the University of Malta, Gozo Campus, Xewkija on Saturday, the 19th of September with registration stating at 9.00am
