Record number of people attend 'Concert Under the Stars 2015'This year’s Gozo CCU Foundation’s ‘Concert Under the Stars,’ held on Sunday evening, saw a record number of people attending this fundraising event. The Committee described it as “a truly magical evening, enjoyed by everyone.”

Entertainment during the evening was provided by The Tramps and Corazon, who gave their services free of charge, and received a fantastic welcome by the guests present, with many getting up to dance the night away…….Record number of people attend 'Concert Under the Stars 2015'In her welcome address, Dame Carmen Bellamy, Chairperson of the Gozo CCU Foundation, thanked everyone who attended and therefore helping the Foundation in its efforts. She also gave thanks to the businesses and individuals who had made donations and given their support.

A special thank you was given to Ta’ Frenc and their staff, the venue for this annual event, who Ms Bellamy said, have been great supporters of the Foundation since its inception 8 years ago.

Ms Bellamy explained that the aim of the Committee this year, is still to purchase two ventilators for the CCU ward of the Gozo General Hospital.

Local artist Justin Falzon, made a donation of two beautiful charcoal pictures of nudes, Ms Bellamy thanked Justin for his continued support of the Foundation.

Several prints by internationally renowned German Artist Rolf Olaf Shabbach were also donated to the Foundation. The artist has many collectors of his work, these include Madonna, Anthony Quinn and Donald Trump, to name but a few. Ms Bellamy said that Olaf kindly donated these prints to be sold in aid of the Gozo CCU Foundation.
