22nd annual, traditional ‘Wirja Agrarja’ – Agricultural Fair at Nadur

The 22nd annual traditional ‘Wirja Agrarja’ – Agricultural Fair, is taking place this weekend, as part of the celebrations for the feast of Imnarja which is celebrated in Nadur.
This very popular annual fair is organised by the Nadur Local Council and will be held at l-Arcipriet Martin Camilleri Square (il-Pjazzetta).
Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of events which include an exhibition of local farm products, crafts, artisans, antique farming tools, traditional Gozitan food & wine tasting.
Farm animals are also exhibited and pets will be blessed on Sunday morning by the village Archpriest.
Traditional folk dancing and singing (ghana) is performed on both days. with the participation of several folk groups, including the Mnarja Folk Group, Tal-Fuklar Folk Group, Ta’ Cangura Folk Group and Benny and Tonia.
The Fair will be held on, Saturday, the 20th of June, (from 8:00 p.m. onwards) and Sunday, the 21st of June, (from 8:00 am. to noon).
