AFM crew airlifts injured tourist from Comino after falling on rocksThe AFM Operations Centre said that it was informed late this afternoon that a tourist had sustained injuries following a fall on rocks and required medical assistance.

An Alouette III helicopter was dispatched to the area and an AFM Defender boat, P06l based in Gozo, was also diverted to Comino to render assistance.

The tourist, a middle-aged foreign man, was given first aid and an AFM helicopter rescue swimmer winched the tourist aboard the helicopter for transfer to St. Lukes Helipad.

A waiting ambulance took the man to Mater Dei for further medical treatment.
