Average voting turnout for the Referendum was 75%, in Gozo it was 81%The Electoral Commission has advised the following approximate percentage voting turnout in the Referendum of Saturday was 75%. In Gozo, one of the highest it was 81%.

Counting starts at the old trade fair grounds in Naxxar at 9.00am this morning, with the result expected by lunchtime.

The SHout campaign thanked everyone who went to the polls on Saturday and cast their vote “in favour of protecting birds, our countryside and a better Malta.”
