The Gozo Youth Council said that it “proudly welcomes the huge interest of Gozitan Youth with regards to iLead – The Creative Leader Academy.”
GYC received over 120 applications, with a select amount of participants chosen from these.
“This Academy aims to foster and develop the values of Leadership, Public Speaking, Decision Making, Negotiation, Persuasion, Entrepreneurship, Communicating a Vision, Resource Management, Project Management, Budgeting and more. It will be spread on 10 sessions over 10 months, starting this Saturday.”
The Gozo Youth Council said that its mission is to provide a national forum for youths and youth organisations in Gozo to effectively develop, promote and advocate youth initiatives and policy making in the youth field.
“GYC believes that a vision and plan for Gozo should be created beyond partisan politics and the young people participating in this academy will develop such a plan.”
The Council concluded by saying that it firmly believes that “Gozo will only start to improve if, and only if, the major brain drain it suffers from starts to be directly tackled.”
