Information for relatives of voters in hospital or homes for the elderlyThe Electoral Commission has advised that where voting in advance is to take place at St. Vincent de Paule and in 25 homes for the elderly (4th April, 2015), at Mount Carmel Hospital and at the Gozo General Hospital (9th April, 2015), relatives who have applied for a special entry permit to assist their family member from his/her ward to the voting area on the day of the relative poll, may call at the Electoral Office, Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta, from today to collect their Identification Tag. Office hours are from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm.

On the day of the respective poll, ONLY authorised persons displaying their identification tag issued by the Electoral Commission shall be allowed entry into St. Vincent de Paule, the homes for the elderly, Mount Carmel Hospital and the Gozo General Hospital.

Such identification tag is, however, not required for entry into Mater Dei and Karen Grech Hospitals (where there are no voters registered under these institutions) on the day of the poll.
