Voting information & times for those in hospitals & homes for the elderly

The Electoral Commission has advised details for the National Referendum and Local Council Elections – 2015, voting at St Vincent de Paule Residence, at 25 Homes for the Elderly and at the Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals.
The Electoral Commission notifies that polling day for these institutions are as follows:
St Vincent de Paule Residence and 25 Homes for the Elderly – Saturday, 4th April, 2015
Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals – Thursday, 9th April, 2015
Voting hours are without interruption from 7.00 am till 10.00 pm.
St Vincent de Paule Residence and 25 Homes for the Elderly:
Persons who are registered as voters in these institutions as well as those who are resident (but not registered voters in them) up to 28th March, 2015, will be able to cast their votes thereat;
Family members or others who are in possession of voting documents of persons currently residing at St Vincent de Paule or in the listed Homes should hand them over to the voters by not later than Tuesday, 31st March, 2015;
On the 4th April there will be no visiting hours at these institutions.
Gozo General Hospital and Mater Dei, Karen Grech and Mount Carmel Hospitals:
Voters who are registered as in-patients recovering in these hospitals as at 6.00 pm of Monday 6th April, 2015, will vote in the Hospital in which they are recovering on Thursday 9th April, 2015 and not as indicated on their voting document/s. It is very important that such voters are in possession of their voting document/s by 8th April.
St Vincent de Paule, Mount Carmel and Gozo General Hospitals:
Relatives wishing to accompany their family members in St Vincent de Paule, Gozo General Hospital and Mount Carmel Hospital from the ward to the voting zone must have an identification tag issued by the Electoral Commission. Requests for these tags must be submitted by Monday, 30th March, 2015.
