January's seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 6.0%Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 6.0 per cent in January over December. When compared to January 2014, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 7.6 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.

In January, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production increased by 6.0 per cent to 98.1 points). Increases were registered in the production of consumer goods (7.0 per cent) and intermediate goods (1.9 per cent).

On the other hand, decreases were registered in the production of capital goods (1.1 per cent) and energy (1.0 per cent).

When compared to the corresponding month of 2014, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 7.6 per cent. Increases were registered in the production of consumer goods (19.4 per cent) and intermediate goods (4.0 per cent).

On the other hand, decreases were registered in the production of capital goods (3.8 per cent) and energy (3.2 per cent).
