The Malta Song for Europe 2006 Festival finals will be held at the Mediterranean Conference Centre tonight at 8.30 pm.
213 submissions will enter the fray which will result in the chosen song to represent Malta in the European Song Festival to be held in Athens in April. All the submissions went through two phases of selection and on the 17 th December, 2005 , sixteen songs made it to this year’s festival.
The Malta Song for Europe 2006 Festival will also be screened live on TVM. The winning song which eventually will represent Malta in Greece during the Eurovision 2006 on the 20th of May will be determined by the public, through tele-voting.
There will be no technical or professional judging and thus the winning song will be the popular choice through 100% tele-voting. The voting will start immediately after all the 18 songs have been performed night and will last for 10 minutes. The results will be announced this evening.
