‘Imhabba ta’ Veru: Kjara u Frangisku Il-Musical’ a new musical in Gozo

The Don Bosco Oratory of Victoria is producing a new musical based on episodes from the life of St. Francis and St. Clare and inspired by their teachings. ‘Imhabba ta’ Veru: Kjara u Frangisku Il-Musical’ gives a joyful rendition of themes still relevant to today’s society, including poverty, freedom, peace, solidarity and environmental issues.
This musical, an original work of the Italian Carlo Tedeschi, is being staged locally for the first time having been translated in Maltese by Fr. Effie Masini.
Vocal and musical direction has been entrusted into the able hands of Pamela Bezzina, whilst stage-direction is in the hands of Saviour Cremona.
The main characters in ‘Imhabba ta’ Veru: Kjara u Frangisku Il-Musical’ are being interpreted by Mark Laurence Zammit and Ruth Portelli. Other main parts are being played by Mario Caruana, Jamie Camilleri, Fabian Galea and George Sacco, together with a cast of about hundred singers, actors and dancers.
‘Imhabba ta’ Veru: Kjara u Frangisku Il-Musical’ is a spectacular show of song, music and dance which will be staged at the Don Bosco Theatre in Gozo on Saturday, the 8th of November at 7.30pm, with a repeat performance on Sunday, the 16th of November at 2.30pm (matinee show). Other special shows for school children are also being planned.
