Santa Lucija’s annual, traditional ‘Fjakkolata’ and Symphony of Lights

A ‘Symphony of Lights,’ organised by the Santa Lucija Administrative Committee, is taking place over two weekends in October in the quaint village of Santa Lucija, Gozo.
On Sunday, the 12th of October, in celebration of the feast of Our Lady of Fatima, on the13th, a ‘Fjakkolata,’ – traditional fire illumination, will take place from 6.30pm onwards, on Ghar Ilma Hill, a magical setting of torch lights surrounding the heart of the village.
The hamlet of Santa Lucija will also hold a ‘Symphony of Lights Spectacular,’ featuring an open air concert by the Gozo Youth Wind Band in Pjazza Santa Lucija, this will take place the following Friday, the 17th of October, from 8.30pm onwards.
A spectacular lights and fireworks display will enrich this unique event in one of the oldest Gozitan hamlets.
The ‘Symphony of Lights’ double weekend, is being organised for the third year running, with entrance to all events free of charge, everyone is warmly welcome to attend.
