The second annual Gozo Live performance evening took place on Friday in the tranquil setting of the Villa Rundle Gardens in Victoria.
Seven plays all written by Gozitan residents were performed, as well as a selection of poems and readings, including a reading by 14 year old Corrine Zahra from her novel ‘The Legend of Amanda Robins.’ Terry Shaw gave two superb musical interludes. The performances were well received by the enthusiastic audience present.
The organisers said that “it was a great evening, the sound and lights were perfect, the actors, readers and singer all on form, the weather was cool and pleasant and even the mosquitoes were few in number!”
Gozo Live thanked everyone “who made the evening possible by putting in such a lot of hard work.”
The next Gozo Live event is the book fair at the Girl’s Secondary School in Victoria from the 16th to the 18th of October, where visitors will find books to suit all ages and tastes.
