International Organ Festival 2014: Gozo event at Ta’ Pinu in September

At a press conference at the Golden Tulip Vivaldi Hotel, Parliamentary Secretary for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Active Ageing Dr Justyne Caruana, has officially launched the Malta International Organ Festival in aid of the Nazzareth Foundation.
The Parliamentary Secretary praised this initiative which will help the Foundation in its work to help the disabled, which constantly needs help from every aspect.
Dr Caruana explained that the Parliamentary Secretariat is supporting the Foundation with a series of events around the country including Gozo, which will take place on Thursday, the 10th of September, at Our Lady of Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary starting at 7.30pm, with Andres Uibo from Estonia and Mari-Liis Uibo (violin).
The festival is under the patronage of the President of Malta and is supported by the Valletta 2018 Foundation, Lions Club Malta and the Vivaldi Hotel.
The organ is one of the most valuable musical instruments in the world. It works especially well with the excellent acoustics of the cathedral, creating an unforgettable atmosphere. It leaves a great impression on listeners, enchanting and attracting musical connoisseurs from around the world.
