The 45 Malta Airport ALIVE 2014 Cycling Challenge for Cancer cyclists completed their first day yesterday cycling from Prague to Trebic, covering around 174km though rain, hills and mud.
Day 2 is a 140km cycle ride to Vienna, they have been facing half the ascent that they did yesterday, but this time with more down hills then uphills.
Gozitan rider Louis Debattista said today’s ride has been though a lot of heavy traffic, with large trucks etc. They have had to stop around 30km from Vienna due to heavy rain and lightning. The team will continue as soon as they weather improves.
Each rider has their own tracker so if anybody would like to follow Louis, the only participant from Gozo on the challenge, you can do so by going to http://alivecharity.com/tracker/. Louis is number 9 in the list.
