ERRC assist woman with suspected spinal injury in Comino

On Sunday, lifeguards of Gozo’s Emergency Response and Rescue Corps, assisted a 25-year old woman for suspected spinal injury after jumping off a cliff in the area around the Blue Lagoon.
The incident took place at around 4.00pm and the woman was taken to Mgarr Harbour to be transported by ambulance to the Gozo General Hospital.
The lifeguarding service at the Blue Lagoon in Comino is possible due to financial support from the Malta Tourist Authority. Support is also being provided by the Ministry for Gozo, Mgarr Marina, Transport Malta, Police, Armed Forces of Malta, Police and the Civil Protection Department.
