Malta Police Band concert: JPII Memorial Festival 2014 Canonisation Year

To mark the Canonisation of Pope John Paul II, the JP2 Foundation is hosting the Malta Police Band in a concert next to the National Monument of Pope John Paul II.
The event is taking place with the full collaboration with the Malta Police Force and is part of the festivities making the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Malta Police Force.
The repertoire for this concert will host music from Bach, Bizet, Caccini, Albinoni, Vangelis and Sammut. The Police Band will be under the music direction of Senior Inspector Mro Anthony Cassar and will host Tenor Charles Vincenti, Soprano Martia Bezzina and Violinist Mario Ciantar.
The open air concert will take place this Sunday, the 18th of May 2014 at Triq Papa Gwanni Pawlu II, Victoria on the way to Ta’ Pinu starting at 6.30pm.
The event will also commemorate the 94th anniversary of the birth of Karol Józef Wojtyla.
The General Public is invited to attend what promises to be a very special event.
