Poetry & Music evening celebrating the Canonisation of Saint John Paul II

As part of the celebrations making the Canonisation of Saint John Paul II, the Ghaqda Poeti Matlin together with the JP2 Foundation and the Catholic Institute, are to present an evening of Poetry and Music.
The JP2 Foundation is taking the opportunity to revive the memory of the visits made by Pope John Paul II in Malta. This event will be commemorating the 24th and the 13th anniversary of the two historical open air Pontiff Masses which took place at St Publius Square, Floriana on Sunday 27th May 1990 and Wednesday 9th May 2001.
The evening is under the patronage of HE Mgr Charles J. Scicluna Auxiliary Bishop of Malta. The poems will be read by the members of l-Ghaqda Poeti Maltin while the Chorus Sancti Ioannes Paulus II under the music direction of Dame May Vassallo will be animating the music section. The event is taking place with the full collaboration of the Catholic Institute.
The event will take place on Tuesday, the 13th of May, at St Gorg Preca Hall, Catholic Institute, Floriana starting at 7.30pm. The General Public is invited to attend.
