A Concert of Sacred Music with Chorus Urbanus in GhasriA Concert of Sacred Music for the Holy Week is being presented by the Ghasri Local Council as part of the John Paul II Memorial Festival.

The concert, by Chorus Urbanus, is being organised in collaboration with the JP2 Foundation and Chorus Urbanus Productions and Corpus Christi Parish Church.

Chorus Urbanus will be performing a number of sacred pieces by various composers including Zoltan Kodaly, Anton Bruckner, John Galea, Cesar Franck, G.B. Pergolesi and Hassler. The choir will be under the musical direction of Mro Dr John Galea.

This concert is being held in preparation of the Canonisation of Pope John Paul II later this month.

Chorus Urbanus will be performing this Lenten Concert at the Ghasri Parish Church, on Thursday, the 3rd of April 2014, starting at 8.00pm. Patrons are kindly asked to be seated by 7.45pm.

Entrance to the concert is free of charge and everyone is invited to attend.
