The Gozo Business Chamber said it hopes incentives given to low-cost airlines are extended to companies wishing to operate a fixed wing or helicopter service from Gozo to replace the helicopter service which has recently finished.
The chamber feels it is vital for the two islands to have an air link to enhance the tourist potential of Gozo and to be of service to the people living here.
The authorities should seek a quick and lasting solution to solve this problem, the chamber said, adding that it is in favour of the current facilities being extended so that small fixed-wing aircraft will be able to operate the service.
