The Gozo University Group is organising the next edition of Gozo Week, which is starting on Monday, the 10th of March and runs until Friday, the 14th of March, at the University Campus in Msida.
This is the third edition of the event and GUG said that preparations are in full swing for a packed week of items for the students to enjoy.
The Group said that following on from the success of the past two editions, this year’s event will be bigger and better with activities not only in the morning and afternoon but also in the evening for the Gozitan, Maltese and International Students attending the University of Malta.
GUG added that it is looking forward to another set of events that will highlight different aspects of Gozitan talent, culture and society. The Campus will be filled with tents holding exhibitions displaying traditional Gozitan traditional culture; the arts and gastronomy, all taking place in collaboration with various Gozitan enterprises.
There will also be lectures relating to literary topics, live music by up-and-coming Gozitan artists and visits by several prominent figures.
For the first time a debate will be organised with four EP candidates, with other candidates already confirmed there visit together with various ministers and the leader of the opposition.
All this will create a social hub for Gozitan, Maltese and International students alike at the University, while promoting and celebrating the Gozitan identity of which we are all proud.
This week is organised in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo, BOV and Agenzija Zghazagh supported by the Gozo NGO’ Association, GBC, GTA, Connection Catering, Jubilee Foods, Gozo Adventures, European Parliament Office in Malta, Europe Direct Gozo Office and Gozo Segways.
