December's industrial production went down by 6.9% on 2012Seasonally adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.2 per cent in December over the previous month. When compared to December 2012, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 6.9 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.

In December, the overall index of industrial production decreased by 1.2 per cent to 98.2 points over November. Decreases were registered in the production of energy (-0.2 per cent) and consumer goods (-3.9 per cent).

On the other hand, increases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (+0.6 per cent) and capital goods (+4.3 per cent).

When compared with the corresponding month of 2012, the index of industrial production went down by 6.9 per cent. Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (-18.3 per cent) and consumer goods (-3.8 per cent).

On the other hand, increases were registered in the production of energy (+1.2 per cent) and capital goods (+16.1 per cent).
