This coming Sunday, the small community of San Lawrenz in Gozo, will once again transform into a live bible to narrate in a very colorful way the biggest story ever told.
Last year’s edition was marked by a participatory approach: the idea of having the pageant emerging from the various households so that the spectators did not remain just spectators, but actually became part of it. This offered a lively and innovative attraction.
Apart from this innovation, which will include a wider participation, the organisers said that this year’s pageant once again will be taken a step further.
A magnificent and original architectural projection mapping show will accompany the first part of this year’s production, and will also form the grand finale of the Christmas pageant.
Getting underway at 6.00pm, this year’s nativity experience, themed “Twieled Ghalihom Ukoll” (He was born for them too), will see the participation of at least 200 actors.
Exiting from the village’s Parish Church, the pageant will take place on the church parvis and main streets of San Lawrenz, including the use of some of the village’s households.
As last year, this special night for the community of San Lawrenz will be lit in candlelight, giving a added value to the unique atmosphere such experience can create. A free warm drink and traditional sweets will also be served to all those present.
Everyone is warmly invited to attend what promises to be a magical evening, watching and participating in a very special story.
