Set of life-size statues inaugurated in Victoria representing the Nativity sceneThe Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo presided over the inauguration of a new set of life-size statues representing the nativity scene, which took place on Thursday in Independence Square, Victoria.

These statues, made by Gozitan artist Paul Aquilina, were commissioned by the National and Regional Celebrations Committee within the Ministry for Gozo.

At the inauguration, the President of the Committee, HE Ambassador Dr Joe Vella Gauci event spoke about the appreciation of local talent and the importance of retaining the true message in celebrations such as that of Christmas.

The statues have now been placed at the crossroads of Republic street, Victoria for public viewing during the festive season.
