Gozo Live Book Fair opens tomorrow in St Francis Square, VictoriaThe Gozo Live Book Fair, opens tomorrow, Thursday, the 31st of October. The official opening and blessing will take place on Friday, the 1st of November at 12 noon and the fair runs through to Sunday evening.

All this is taking place in the Exhibition Hall within the Ministry for Gozo in St Francis Square.

There will be readings in the mornings and visitors to the exhibition will be able to meet authors, chat to them and have books signed from time to time during the day. Each evening there will be further performances and readings – a different programme each time.

There will be a great selection of books on sale from children’s stories to novels to non- fiction books, in both English and Maltese. These publications are added to by the exhibitors who will be providing a wide range of interesting reading material guaranteed to suit all tastes.

Entrance is free of charge and the exhibition will be open from 9.00am, with performances from 7pm onwards.

The performance/reading programme for the opening Day – Thursday, the 31st of October, is as as follows:

The Fair will be open between 9.00am and 4.00pm and then again from 7.00pm onwards.

10.00am to12.00pm

Graham Bayes – Children’s Stories.

7.00pm to 9.00pm

Halloween Story – Jocie Bates

Noel Formosa reading from Pierre Mejlak’s books

Rob Ricards – Short Story

The Cross – George Gauci

Poetry – Flick Hague.

The organisers said bring the children to listen to stories in the morning and join them yourselves. Readings, performances and stories to suit all ages in the evenings.
