MEPA has given its approval for the rebuilding of three rooms at a fireworks factory at Ta’ Garrija, Gharb, Gozo, where four men died following an explosion on the 4th of November last year.
Andrew Gatt, nephew of the owner George Gatt, who died in the explosion, filed the application in March this year to rebuild the rooms.
The approval granted is for the reconstruction of the mixing room, workshop and kitchen, as well as the replacement of a concrete passageway that was damaged at the time of the explosion.
