Gozo Live performance event at Villa Rundle a great success

Gozo Live performed to a large enthusiastic crowd last Friday in the Villa Rundle Gardens, Victoria. The sharp drop in temperature may have been a little uncomfortable but the audience enjoyed several dramatisations from stories by writers in Gozo, plus a play written and acted by teenagers, some guitar rock music and poetry.
The cast included some well known performers in Gozo as well as a number of novices. There were a couple of last-minute amendments to the cast: Sharona Refalo among the adults and Courtney Caruana who took the part of John in Back In Time. The show was ably directed by Rob Ricards.
This was the first of Gozo Live’s public performances but by no means the last. Watch for further notices in the coming months. Gozo Live’s next event is a book fair in St Francis Square especially intended to showcase the work of writers living and working in Gozo although a wide range of books will be on display and for sale.
The book fair runs from Thursday, the 31st of October to Sunday, the 3rd of November. The first day is a preview day where school children will be especially invited to attend although all others are more than welcome.
Performances will take place each evening and authors will be available for signing and discussion. Each day promises to be different making the fair worth several visits.
Gozo Live have contacted many authors living in Gozo, however they said that have “probably not fully explored this rich vein of talent.”
They are requesting writers of whatever genre who have not yet made contact with Gozo Live to please do so without delay by emailing on email@example.com.
