The Order of Malta Volunteers in Gozo appeal for relief aidThe Order of Malta Volunteers in Gozo (OMVG) is organising a collection of relief aid items for various missionary programmes and social cases in Gozo.

Missions which will benefit are based in Peru, Guatemala, Kenya and Ghana. Apart from this, food items for needy cases in Malta and Gozo are also needed.

The relief corps of the Order of Malta on the island of Gozo is making an appeal for:

Food: tinned food, pasta, rice, long life milk, powdered milk, bottled water, baby food, olive oil, tomato sauce, butter, bread etc

Toiletries : toilet paper, soap, liquid soap, diapers, towels (preferably new) Good quality clothes: especially summer clothes and children’s clothes for a Ghanian mission

Baby items: prams, pushchairs, baby chairs and cots for a Peruvian/Guatemalan mission

Spectacles and sunglasses/lenses for overseas aid

Medicines and first aid material for overseas aid

Toys for boys and girls

Bicycles (small and adult)

Stationary copy books, pencils, disposable pens, satchels, files and books in Spanish for a Peruvian school

Blankets and bed sheets

The Volunteers thank everyone for the support. The Gozo-based Catholic charity can be contacted on 79 55 22 11 and items can also be delivered to the Order of Malta Volunteer Office in St George’s Square, Victoria, Gozo.
