Dogs Trust Malta said today that it welcomes Parliamentary Secretary, Mr. Roderick Galdes’s latest initiative in engaging the foreign organisation ETN for a two week neutering campaign in Malta.
Dogs Trust would like to remind the public that it will be continuing its free neutering and microchipping campaign for dogs for people receiving benefits, hunters, farmers, shelters, feeders and community and factory dogs.
“This free service which has been available since 2009 will continue to be available after ETN’s departure. The public are encouraged to make use of the Government’s new initiative, especially for stray cats and may rest assured that should they be unable to take their dogs within the stipulated two weeks, they may contact their local vet and quote the ‘Dogs Trust offer’ in order to book their dog in for free neutering and microchipping.”
Dogs Trust have neutered and chipped more than 12,500 dogs free of charge in the last four years and have reached over 36,000 students through its free school workshops. The organisation has been working to help the local animal welfare organisations and continues to pledge its support in establishing better animal welfare in Malta.
Dogs Trust would like to take this opportunity to wish both the government and ETN a successful campaign.
