Next week, the village of San Lawrenz will once again be hosting one of the largest groups of young participants, in a multicultural exchange.
The group, totalling 63, will be coming from seven European Countries; Spain, Italy, Sweden, France, Germany, Cyprus and Malta.
The theme of this EU Funded project, under the “Youth in Action” will be that of “Yes and No Voices.” The exchange programme will include workshops, discussions and interactive activities based upon the theme.
During the exchange, each country will organise a cultural evening where apart from introducing typical food from their country, they will perform a show of traditional song and dances.
The San Lawrenz Local Council said that this week is expected to put the entire locality and its residents into a frenzy of activity. “A large number of local young ones as well as local organisations have made themselves readily available to make these European participants feel at home.”
The young participants from San Lawrenz are busily preparing for this event, They explained that this project is the “real and factual proof of the interpersonal benefits of EU membership.”
