A search for a person who was reportedly lifted off the ground during a tornado in Xlendi valley yesterday produced no results. There was very heavy rain at the time, with 60mm of rain being recorded at Gozo Weather Station in Victoria.
An army helicopter and personnel from the Civil Protection Department in Gozo went on the search following a report lodged with the police. The police, however, have not as yet received any missing person report.
The CPD personnel were also called to rescue two boys trapped by floods in Victoria.
