BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir enjoy a thank you partyBank of Valletta recently hosted a party for the BOV Joseph Calleja Children’s Choir. The army of 200 strong little protagonists was the guest of honour along with the helpers without whom organising a choir of this scale would have been an impossible feat.

The Maltese Tenor himself along with soprano Gillian Zammit and Gianluca Bezzina attended the reception which was hosted in the internal street of the BOV Centre.

The choir’s participation during the Summer Concert has now become one of the trademarks of the concert, that grows in popularly year on year, not only locally but also in international circles.

It was a rewarding experience for all present to see the children carefree and enjoying the party. The children were in for a surprise. They were each given a commemorative photo of a special moment during the concert of the 1st August 2013, complete in a specially designed folder for keepsake.

Although the experience itself was a memorable one, this gesture was a token sign of appreciation by Bank of Valletta for the commitment shown by these children and their parents, in attending the grueling rehearsals, as well as for the impeccable performance on the big day of the concert.

This reception brought to fruition two important aspects of the endorsement signed by the Maltese Tenor and Bank of Valletta earlier on this year, namely the BOV Joseph Calleja Choir and the Joseph Calleja concert.

Now many eagerly await the launch of the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation. Planned to be inaugurated later on this year, this Foundation will focus on helping Maltese families in need.
