The 200-strong Joseph Calleja BOV Children’s choir met with Joseph Calleja himself during rehearsals at the Divine Mercy Church in San Pawl tat-Targa on Monday evening.
The Maltese tenor joined the children in rehearsing the Kleinzach song. This was the last time that the choir of little voices, that will be accompanying Joseph Calleja during his much-awaiting concert this Thursday, met at the Chapel.

Joseph Calleja thanked the children for their efforts. “You are privileged to gain exposure to different genres at such an early age. This is an opportunity which I never had, and it will serve you well in broadening your horizons as you grow up.”
Joseph Calleja also thanked soprano Gillian Zammit who has taken it upon herself to coach the choir year after year, a task she does with unfailing dedication, and to a degree of impeccable perfection.
Karmenu Vella, the Minister for Tourism congratulated the children for their unique opportunity to accompany Joseph Calleja the world’s most renowned tenor during his concert.
