‘Mystique Gozo’ is the second photographic exhibition by Mario Saliba. It is a collection of 22 photos prints, taken over the last three years, of various popular locations around Gozo, the sister island of Malta located in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea.
Although a small island, Gozo is ornamented with lots of breath-taking landmarks. Among these are the Azure Window in Dwejra, a popular tourist village, the Citadel, first fortified during the Bronze Age c. 1500 BC, overlooking Victoria as well as ‘Our Saviours Hill,’ in Marsalforn, as portrayed in the exhibition poster.
In ‘Mystique Gozo,’ Mario Saliba tries to stop time, appreciating the priceless heritage located in Gozo.
The exhibition is being held at Art e Gallery at 1, Library Street, Victoria and will be inaugurated by the Minister for Gozo, Dr Anton Refalo, on Saturday evening, the 29th of June at 7.00pm.
‘Mystique Gozo,’ will be open daily from the 29th of June to the 24th of July, from 9.30am-12.15pm, excluding Sundays.
