Gozo Retired Teachers’ Assoc visit Speaker of the House

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Angelo Farrugia today received a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Gozo Retired Teachers’ Association (GRTA). During the meeting, the Speaker explained in detail his work as President of the Parliament, the function of each committee as well as the work of the House Business Committee.
The Speaker spoke to those present on the idea of the Ethics Committee and the Committee on Petitions, after the delegation made reference to his speech on Sette Giugno.
The delegation members thanked the Speaker and he in return thanked each member for the hard work they had carried out as educators. He also gave a copy of the first periodical issued by the Speaker’s Office to each member of the association, which was issued for the first time on Sette Giugno.
The Speaker was presented with the book of ‘Ghawdex bil-grajja tieghu’ by Gan Piet Frangisk Agius de Soldanis and translated by Mgr Joseph Farrugia.
The delegation of 22 was led by the President of the GRTA, Mr. Carmel Attard, the Secretary Joe M. Knight Attard and Treasurer Mr Joseph.
