Australian woman suffers serious injuries in fall on Comino

A 76-year-old Australian woman was grievously injured when she fell in Comino today
The Victoria Police Station said that it was informed of the incident by the Armed Forces of Malta, who dispatched a helicopter to assist the foreigner. Shortly after, the police were informed that the casualty had been flown to Gozo General Hospital.
According to further investigations, the woman was walking along a path which was close to the Blue Lagoon at around 1.15pm, together with her 77-year-old husband, both from Wallacia, when she lost her balance on a loose stone and fell.
Although the woman did not fall from a height, she suffered serious head injuries.
