Abi Macleod Clark and Emma Borg are once again holding a joint exhibition of their artwork, entitled 3 Themes, 2 Artists , 1 Location.
Music, Under Your Feet and Nature are the three themes that the artists are portraying through their art in this exhibition. Abi Macleod Clark is an English mosaic artist with a passion to present art in a fun and light hearted manner, to give the passer by the chance to come across something they might not have seen before.
Abi has a background in art and design which includes an ND in Art and a HND in Theatre Design. Her mosaics are based on the materials that she has collected from both the local environment and past treasures. She said that her kittens have also helped by breaking many of her plates and mugs!
This was also helped by the kindness of her friends donating their old crockery. Abi said that she has also been influenced as always by the culture she is surrounded by and inspiration comes from various avenues. Being inspired by things from the walk to school with her children, the funny things people say, to the magnificent churches that are all around us.Emma qualified in art at Exmounth Community College in the UK and likes to paint in modern abstract and contemporary style. Emma finds this relaxing to do as well as look at. Emma said that as she is calm by nature her paintings reflect that quality. She loves to work with acrylics and her work is popular with the local people as well as with foreign customers.
Everyone is welcome to visit this colourful and amazing exhibition which is taking place at the St Ursula Hall, The Citadel, Gozo, until the 30th of June.
It is open daily from 10.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday and from 11.00am to 3.00pm Saturdays and Sundays. Entrance is free.
