Chris Said elected this evening as PN General SecretaryThe Nationalist Party’s Executive has this evening elected the former Justice Minister, Dr Chris Said as the PN General Secretary. He won 58 votes out of the 62 cast, with three votes against and one vote invalid. Dr Said, who was uncontested, will succeed Paul Borg Olivier.

President of the Executive Council is Ann Fenech who won 58 votes, out of 63, with 4 against and one invalid.

Jean Pierre Debono was reconfirmed as the Assistant Secretary General, with 48 votes in favour and 11 against.

President of the Administrative Council is Karol Aquilina, reconfirmed with with 49 votes in favour, 10 against and three invalid.

The Treasurer is Alex Perici Calascione who was elected with 40 out of 62 votes. Hermann Schiavone, who also contested the post, received 22 votes.

The International Secretary is Trevor Degiorgio who was elected with 38 votes, Victor Scerri, who also contested the post, received 23 votes.
