The Cross is a beautiful story. A wonderful read that both emotionally engages the reader and surprises, by twist and by turn, in its original narrative. The prose is extremely warm and engaging too. Written in that wonderful ‘by the fireside – come let me tell you a story’ kind of way.

George Gauci, writes with the authentic voice of a Maltese and of a Gozitan, and that again adds to the book’s charm.

This is a stand out stand, one I cannot praise more. Go and buy it. Read. Enjoy. And be moved.

A very lovely book, once I started reading I couldn’t let go. I loved the fact that the book included some historic things which made me more familiar with the old Malta without getting me bored or getting out of the story.

Thank you. That is my intention. To get the Gozitans and the Maltese of all ages to remember or to learn more about where our culture comes from. What we went through the horrible years of World War , and to give some historical insight without getting the reader bored and out of the story. Plus to tell everyone of the beautiful Islands we live on. You couldn’t have made me any happier.

        George Gauci.
