Armed Forces Malta divers and a number of private divers have been continuing their search for the missing French diving instructor, Mr Alain Bollini. They have been concentrating their search in and around the underwater caves which lie outside the bay.
Mr Bollini, who is resident in Gozo, was reported missing after he failed to return from a technical dive on Thursday afternoon.
Two AFM patrol boats have been searching near the cliffs just outside the bay, and also due south in the direction of the prevailing sea currents.
