On the occasion of the Titular Feast of the Nativity of Our Lady celebrated solemnly at Xaghra Parish, the Victory Band of the same locality proudly presents a Vocal and Instrumental Musical Concert which also commemorates the 110th anniversary of the same Band’s foundation in 1898; the first local band in the Gozitan villages.
This grand concert will be held on Thursday, the 4th of September, 2008 at the village square in Xaghra (Gozo). It will start at 9.30pm.
The Victory Philharmonic Society will be under the direction of Mro. Joseph Galea LCM and Assistant Director Mro. Josef Debrincat. The Nativitas Choir will also take part. This choir will be under the direction of director Silvana Agius and assistant director Ivan Attard.
The concert will be under the patronage of Mgr Archpriest Carmelo Refalo and several distinguished people. The public in-general is invited to attend.
